Do they have a case against Poroshenko or not?
Is he guilty of treason?
If you look at history when someone returns to their home country to face charges things don't always go as you wish. If a court has taken the information gathered and believes so strongly that there is a case to seize all the person’s personal computers, phones, and assets including companies one would think they have a solid case. Of course, thinkers have transferred the assets companies to their children or others long ago. (check)
With such a solid case even on low-cost public aircraft, the governing bodies would direct the airplane to land at another airport or at least get the wanted person on the tarmac and exit through a security gate without the media and fan fair waiting to get photos and ask questions. This is a proven method of capturing the accused. Most recently a couple that comes to mind is Navalny entering Russia and Saakashvili entering Georgia.
Only in Ukraine, they allow the accused to exit with all the other passengers, let him meet and greet many who have come in support, take selfies with them and even put on a good show for the media.
Once again, in any other country, these groups of people would not see the accused enter and in such a short time from a couple of hours to a couple of days have the captured accused stand in front of a judge and hear the charges and be pressed to give answers on the spot.
But if you allow the accused to manipulate the public and showcase his cause and his excuses, you can end up with a group of people demanding his release, whether he is found to be guilty or innocent.
The roomer mill says Poroshenko took coal from Ukraine and through a process sold it back to Ukraine with a huge profit. Living in Ukraine, I learned there were many governments building that offered space for rent only to learn the manager of the building just pocketed all those funds. So here we have a bigger heist than expected. I wonder if he is guilty.
