Oh, Canada!
What have you done!
What have you done! You are always so quiet and nice. For years the government of Canada has been working hard to enclose and ensnare hard-working Canadians into a lifelong dictatorship. Today governments restrict people from disagreeing with them, if we do so we are classified as “anti-authority” If we disagree, they will prosecute us with the tax dollars we the people paid to the government.
Lies from the government have gone by with little concern from the people, and little notice for years.
The uprising that has taken place throughout Canada these last two weeks sends a clear message to the Government that people are no longer willing to put up with things the way they are.
February 2020 hit us like a tone of bricks, who knew what the COVID thing was, all we knew through our trusted news channels is what we were told. It looked as if it was such a monstrous attack killing most adults it grabbed hold of. Yet, we saw very quickly that it took the life of the old and frail, the very unhealthy people. This was what I saw around me. It may have been different around you, but this is my experience with it.
Throughout the COVID pandemic, we were told to stay home… we were told the only way to get it gone was to stay indoors, wear a mask. In old folks’ homes, they hung clear plastic with long gloves to insert one’s arms to hug your family member. This was such a sad sight.
The pandemic put our government above us like never before. They grabbed onto the “fear card” and waved it in our faces. Where we saw a glimpse of hope - more fear cards were printed. The uprising in Canada began. People demanded the Canadian government remove COVID restrictions as other countries have done. People want a life that is more normal. COVID is not going away, yet the people want the freedom to manage their personal precautions. If the Government is so concerned for my health have cigarettes banned from being sold – but they won’t do that as they make far too much tax off that!
